Premier Publishing launched it’s first local newspaper titles in Glasgow, the Southside News and the West Side News in March 2007, distributing 20,000 newspapers in the Southside and 10,000 newspapers in the West End.

Since then the distribution has doubled and in June this year, on the back of the success of the first two newspapers, the East End News and the Northside News were launched. And in August the City Centre and Inverclyde News were added to our portfolio.

A combined distribution of 150,000 newspapers has made Premier Publishing a serious contender in the Scottish micropublishing market and expansion is on the horizon.

The principal directors, Derek Williams and Campbell Murdoch, both have a huge amount of experience in the publishing field having worked extensively in the national newspaper arena for many years.

Since launching the newspapers they have built an excellent and dedicated team of staff comprising of sales people, journalists, designers, distribution and administration staff and the team is constantly growing as demand for the newspapers takes hold.
